Giving Hearts Day is THIS WEEK

Mark your calendars….Thursday February 11, 2016 is Giving Hearts Day. Cats Cradle Shelter has been invited to participate in this ONE DAY online fundraiser. Dakota Medical Foundation presents this wonderful event annually and has raised over 6 million dollars for non-profit charities.  Every Cats Cradle Shelter donation of $10 or more will be matched up to $11,500.  We appreciate every single donation we get!

Your donations pay for food, litter, shelter, and medical care for cats just like the ones in this new Giving Hearts Day video.

There are four ways you can help the cats of Cats Cradle Shelter.

First, you can donate on-line at  impactgiveback.org.  Select Donate at the top of the page, and make a donation to Cats Cradle Shelter(you will have to enter Cats Cradle Shelter in the search bar).

Alternately, you may choose to stop by the Red Raven Espresso Parlor between 10 am and 10pm on the 11th and make your donation in person.  We will have Cats Cradle promotional items to give away for $10, $25, and $50 in-person donations (pens, bags, and t-shirts).   We hope we have enough donors so that we run out of promos, so come early, if you can! It’s also PurrsDay Thursday, so cats will be in the Red Raven Community room between 2-4pm and again between 6-8pm.  Coffee, cats, and changing the world…what could be better?

Third, Gate City Bank is letting the public decide where their ten $5,000 Giving Hearts Day donations will be directed.  Go to any Gate City Bank lobby and vote for Cats Cradle Shelter…remember that you can vote multiple times!  Five thousand dollars could pay for 125 spay/neuters or 200 bags of cat food.  Please stop in and vote for us (they also have cookies!)

Finally, PLEASE help us by sharing this event with friends and family…there are prizes available for things like  “donations from the most counties” and we’d love to be in the running for that extra money!

Cats Cradle recieves no funding from city or state governments and we are not affiliated with any national rescue organizations.  We are grassroots volunteers working hard to change the world, one cat at time.    Your donation could make a difference in the lives of the cats lost or abandoned cats that live at the shelter.  If you can’t donate right now, but would consider helping us in the future, please see this link for more information https://catscradleshelter.org/donate/
